Part of a grand old terrace in Notting Hill, this garden flat was completely transformed from tired and cramped to light and bright. Capturing more natural light, the kitchen was extended, adding a bright conservatory overlooking the courtyard garden. The lower ground floor was extended and reconfigured to accommodate a laundry and new ensuite bathroom. Keen to retain the original charm of the building, the shuttered windows were restored, and period plaster moldings reinstated, juxtaposing the old with the new. Luxurious finishes in pale tones were added to create a calming retreat for our clients away from the hustle and bustle of the city outside.
