La Temperado

Singapore

“Lar Temporado” translates from Portuguese as Seasoned Home — a name that captures the spirit of this decoration and styling project in Singapore.

Created for a globally minded homeowner relocating between continents, the intention was not to begin again with something new. It was to create depth from the outset — a layered, welcoming home that felt established, grounded and personal.

The living and dining spaces form the heart of the home. Composed for gathering and ease, they balance softness with structure. A restrained palette of layered neutrals creates calm, while threads of blush, green and sun-washed yellow subtly reference both Singapore’s tropical landscape and memories carried from abroad.

Warmth sits at the centre of the scheme. Refined, but never formal.

Material & Form

Although this was a decoration and home styling project rather than structural renovation, materiality was central to shaping the atmosphere.

A custom travertine coffee table with sculptural spherical legs anchors the living room, introducing weight and permanence. This presence is echoed in the bespoke oak and travertine media unit, detailed with solid stone handles that mirror the form of the table. Designed to evolve with future moves, the piece reflects a considered approach to custom furniture within residential interiors.

Modular shelving frames the television wall, allowing books and collected objects to settle naturally over time. Layered linens, muted prints and painterly tropical motifs soften the architecture, while a graphic thread of black — seen in lighting and furniture framing — brings clarity and contrast.

A sculptural indoor tree introduces scale and vitality, strengthening the connection between interior and environment.

Designed for Living Well

Lar Temporado extends across the living and dining rooms, principal bedroom and balcony terrace — each space considered as part of a cohesive whole.

The living room invites lingering. The dining setting encourages conversation. The balcony terrace offers an outdoor extension that feels integrated rather than separate — an important layer of residential design in Singapore’s climate.

More than decoration, this project demonstrates how thoughtful interior styling can create rootedness after relocation. A home that feels collected rather than installed. Personal rather than trend-led.

“Miranda was amazing at guiding me through the design process from start to finish. She helped me define what I wanted seamlessly — even when I wasn’t sure myself.”

Lar Temporado is layered, warm and designed to endure — a seasoned home composed for real life.
